I have been an active member in the community from the time I attended Cherry Street Elementary to my graduation from Bay High School in 2021. As a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church, I have spent countless hours involved in community outreach over the years.
With the Bright Futures Scholarship I earned at Bay High School, I attended Gulf Coast State College where I received my AA degree. In December, I graduated from FSU with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science.
I was a teacher at First United Methodist Preschool for over two years while I attended Gulf Coast. This was special for me, as I went to First United Methodist preschool when I was a kid, and I had the pleasure of working with some of the same teachers who taught me.
I was born and raised in Panama and have been involved in efforts to help my community since my pre-teens. In elementary and middle school, I packed backpacks of food for Cherry Street students. In the wake of Hurricane Laura, which struck Louisiana while I was in high school, I helped found 850 Relief, an organization that gathered supplies and funds for the impacted communities. As President of Beta Club the same year, I raised 2,000 dollars for a food program at Cherry Street Elementary.
You may also recognize me from my many nights playing music in Downtown Panama City, as well as all over Panama City. I'm a big fan of Bob Dylan, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and much more music from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. I am known for having an old soul and have always loved older music!
